Every product can have three units: purchase unit (how you buy from suppliers, e.g., rolls), base unit (how the system tracks stock, e.g., metres), and sell unit (what customers see, e.g., metres). You set the conversion factor once — for example, 1 roll = 100 metres — and StokWatch handles all the math automatically. Buy 3 rolls? That's 300 metres in stock. Sell 25 metres? Stock updates correctly.

StokWatch supports all the payment methods common in East Africa: Cash, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and bank cards. You can also split payments — a customer can pay part in cash and part in mobile money. For wholesale customers, credit accounts let them buy now and pay later, with credit limits and monthly statements.

Each morning, the manager opens a store session and displays a daily QR code. Attendants scan this QR with their personal phones to join. They can then create orders which go to a queue for manager approval. The manager reviews and approves (or rejects) each order, triggering stock deduction and receipt printing. Everything happens over local WiFi — no internet required.

StokWatch has multiple safeguards: orders require manager approval before stock moves, every action is logged in an immutable audit trail, voided sales are never deleted (only marked with who voided and why), returns require manager approval with reason codes, and all price changes are tracked. You can see exactly who did what and when.

Absolutely. Your data is completely isolated from other businesses using row-level security in the database — even if our code had a bug, the database itself prevents cross-tenant access. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Daily backups are automatic, and you can download a full export of your data anytime.

Yes! StokWatch has a CSV import feature designed for shops with thousands of SKUs. Download our template, fill in your products with names, categories, prices, and opening stock quantities, then upload. The system validates everything and shows a preview before importing. Most shops are fully set up within a day.

If you cancel, your data remains accessible in read-only mode for 90 days, giving you time to export everything you need. After 90 days, data moves to archive storage (still recoverable on request). Permanent deletion happens at 180 days. We believe your data is yours — you can export it all at any time.

Yes! In Uganda and Kenya, we have a network of field agents who can visit your shop, help you set up StokWatch, import your products, and train your staff. The agent earns a commission, and you get personalized onboarding. Ask about agent-assisted setup when you sign up.

All plans include WhatsApp support during business hours. Pro and Enterprise plans get priority support. Enterprise plans include dedicated support with a named account manager. Our support team is based in East Africa and understands local business practices and challenges.
